Reading Counts

Hi!  I’m Bonnie Cumbo and I am the literacy coach here at Oakland Elementary School.  This is my first year working in this position, but I have enjoyed it so much!  I participated in a Literacy co-hort to learn how to implement good literacy practice in my own classroom as a second grade teacher.  Now, I get to help other teachers by conducting staff development, co-teaching with them, and helping them with the 100 Book Challenge Program in their classrooms.  The best part of all of this is that I get to work with all students in the school and I love it.  One minute I might be in a kindergarten class and thirty minutes later be working with a fourth grade class.  I have learned so much and have shared my love of reading with all students.  I truly believe with all of my heart that Reading Counts!
